Paradise, Lost

This short film is part of my master thesis at ESAD Caldas da Rainha. After a brief trip, a young woman misses her return flight from Lisbon and spends the extra day wandering through the city. The experience of the place becomes an extension and projection of the protagonist’s self. The film explores how life unfolds in the unplanned, the noise of the everyday that is only pereceivable through an undirected gaze, and the meaning of travel - between voyeurism, chance encounters, and personal transformation - in the context of modern alienation through acceleration.
