Entre tempos

Visconde, a fishermen's neighbourhood on the peninsula of Peniche is quite a unique place. Over time, the inhabitants themselves and their families have worked to transform their wooden huts into permanent houses. In the experimental documentary they tell stories about these changes and their past, gathering clams with the family, the woolen blankets providing protection from the cold in winter, fellow fishermen who lost their lives while fishing. The natural surroundings of the peninsula with its rough climate provide a baseline for the film, through which the building of the fishermen community is explored. Rather than being a classical documentary, the focus on natural phenomena and small details of the neighbourhood is meant to slow the viewer down and transport him into an immersive experience of the place.
