While finishing her studies in architecture Franca Rudolph discovered her passion for cinema during an exchange year in Rio de Janeiro. Filming her experiences with a Sony Handycam, she soon realised that this is the medium that lets her express her ideas in the best way. After concluding her Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Arts at the Technical University of Munich she decided to follow her passion and dedicated herself to film and photography, currently enrolled in the Master's Program in Arts of Sound and Image at ESAD, Caldas da Rainha. Working and studying in various countries such as Brazil, Germany, Portugal reinforced her interests in exploring a multitude of realities through different mediums. Combining her training as an architect with the world of cinema, the notion of place and the creation of atmosphere always play a central role in her projects.
